Ella and Ava are friends and partners in choreographic mischief. They danced together in high school and have always appreciated one another’s choreographic creations–in particular, their quirkiness. After several years’ distant dreaming about collaborating on a project, they are grateful the stars have aligned this summer for us to work together in the studio. They have been enjoying developing a delightful contemporary duet, “She Leaves at Eight,” This piece seeks to explore the relationship between a woman and her mind as she prepares for a night out.
